Remodeling Construction Process:

1. Consultation

We start with an in-home meeting with homeowners to discuss ideas, personal vision and general scope of what they are interested in achieving. Guidance is offered to identify possibilities and any challenges which may be encountered based on logistics of overall project plans. A general homeowner’s budget is discussed.

2. Initial Proposal

After evaluating the budget along with ideas and plans from consultation, homeowners will receive a detailed, delineated proposal, rough cost and time estimate for the completed project. A more accurate proposal is partnered with the design step.

3. Design

While our designers and architects are not in-house, we have working relationships with several professionals who collaborate in the style and standards of our company. Other design firms are welcome for submission as well.

Interior-only plans require a standard building permit application, while any exterior alterations and additions require municipality building board approval prior to permit being granted.

Pending design approval, Crestone will secure all necessary permits before building.

4. Formal Proposal & Final Contract

After designs are approved by homeowners and any necessary building board authorization, pricing is adjusted and finalized based on product selections such as windows, tile, plumbing fixtures, countertops, etc. A final contract is signed, putting the project on the Crestone schedule.

5. Construction

Although a remodeling project can be disruptive, it is our responsibility to make it as easy as possible. We secure building permits prior to the start date and personal selections are pre-ordered so they are ready when needed.

Family life is taken into consideration and is a high priority while in the building phase. As spaces are demolished they are kept clean and organized then made ready to be rebuilt to new specifications.

Communication is regular and clear throughout the entire project. Weekly updates and information are offered about what to expect in the coming weeks depending on the scale and sequence of the project.

To finalize the project, any remaining punch list items are addressed and completed.
